Yesterday Andrew Green went down in the sub to do a geplogical dive at Diep Gat canyon. They spent 8 hours in the water. He looked at the rockformations at the various depths and collected a sediment sample from the canyon bottom at 367m. These he will compare with the grab samples taken previously.
They also spent 3 of those 8 hours looking for coelacanths, there was very little cave structure and no coelacanths were found.
Today they are at Leven Canyon, as yet unexplored due to strong currents in the past. They may split the dive over two days starting shallow and then going deeper.
