Marine Week, Port Elizabeth. 18 to 22 October |

ACEP was part of an exhibition in Port Elizabeth harbour, the theme of
which was to demonstrate the linkages from mountains, catchments and
river streams to the ocean floor. All of us should be working together
to save our sea. During the week 1 512 learners from 32 schools visited
the display and were exposed to various aspects of the marine
environment. This outreach meets ACEP objectives of creating an
awareness of the marine and coastal environment, with reference to the
coelacanth and its habitat. Organisers and visitors commented that it
was a great success and an innovative way to highlight the marine
environment.
