Programme Manager Tony Ribbink attended the Department of Science and Technology's Insite exhibition at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg and delivered a talk on ACEP's capacity building initiatives. Tony says ACEP was well represented at the show and there was a lot of interest in the programme. Karen Hissmann gave the first presentation associated with a movie focusing almost exclusively on the coelacanth and science. Tony said it was an impressive talk in which Karen gave an overview of coelacanth research. He said hers was a difficult act to follow when he, Tony, presented the other aspects of the programme. Tony was pleased to have an opportunity to thank the German Government for its great support and to point out that if it had not been for that support ACEP would never have grown to become the international programme that it is now. [ACEP will also be exhibiting at INSITE 2006. For more information, please visit the INSITE 2006 exhibition news item.]
